Hampi began in 2013 with an instinct to photograph a place unlike any I had encountered before. What first drew me to its landscape gradually became a longer inquiry into time, memory and endurance. Over years of returning, the work shifted away from describing monuments toward understanding the relationships between stone, landscape, architecture and human presence.

The photographs do not seek to document Hampi or reconstruct its history. They emerge through repeated visits, allowing familiarity to replace novelty and experience to shape the work. Each return changes not only the place that is photographed, but also the way it is seen. The project remains ongoing because the questions that began it continue to evolve.
