Nestled in the heart of Rajasthan, India, Bharatpur National Park, also known as Keoladeo National Park, stands as a testament to the rich biodiversity and natural beauty that defines the region. Established in 1982, this UNESCO world heritage site is a haven for nature enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and photographers alike.
Historical significance
Formerly a duck-hunting reserve for the Maharajas of Bharatpur, the park's transformation into a protected area highlights its historical significance. Named after the ancient Keval dev temple within its boundaries, the park not only boasts natural splendor but also echoes with cultural and historical resonance.
Biodiversity and wildlife
Bharatpur National Park is renowned for its diverse avian population, making it a paradise for bird lovers. The winter months witness the arrival of numerous migratory birds, including the iconic Siberian crane, making the park an internationally recognized destination for birdwatching. Ambient light mastery
Daylight photography: Learn to make the most of natural daylight, mastering techniques to capture vibrant and detailed photographs. Understand the nuances of working with varying intensities of sunlight, creating images that are dynamic and visually engaging.
Twilight photography: We will explore the enchanting twilight hours. Discover the secrets of twilight photography, where the interplay of fading daylight and emerging artificial lights creates a unique and captivating atmosphere. Capture stunning moments during this magical time of day.
Foggy weather photography: Experience the magic of photographing in foggy weather, to create captivating moody images. I will guide you on harnessing the ethereal quality of fog, helping you create atmospheric and dreamlike images that showcase the park in a completely different light.
We will also have an intensive session on post-processing the images shot during the tour. From practical, hands-on sessions in the field to editing and reviewing the images created, this intensive workshop will provide insights into the creative process from start to finish.
Pre-requisites:
All experience levels are welcome to take this workshop. You should have a good understanding of your camera as well as an understanding of basic image editing.
